چکیده
Abstract Coating design is an efficient strategy to engineer wettability of surfaces and adjustment the functionality necessities in industrial sectors. The current study reveals feasibility functional aluminum/quasicrystalline (Al-QC) composite coatings fabrication by cold spray technology. A commercially available Al-based quasicrystalline powder (Al-Cr-Fe-Cu) was combined with aluminum alloy (Al6061) feedstock materials make various compositions. set process parameters employed deposit different QC-Al ratios Al6061 as counterparts. coating measured static water droplet contact angles using a shape analyzer investigation dynamic impact high-speed imaging. Through microstructural studies, Al-QC composites revealed dense structure, well-integrated adherent deposits, providing structural reliability enhanced hydrophobic behavior. In last step this work, were deposited over eroded cold-sprayed selected demonstrate repairing damaged part function restoring. results approach used work provide understanding manufacturing their wetting behavior state for cross-field applications.
